EA Sports caused controversy on Thursday with the release of FIFA 21's top 100 players - with some world class players receiving huge downgrades.

According to the developer, the top 100 is comprised of familiar stars from the football world who have retained their position in the '100 Club'.

But it hasn't stopped them handing out some stat decreases and the man hit hardest is Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard.

Hazard was a 91-rated player last season after sealing a £100 million transfer to Madrid from Chelsea.

But one goal all season and numerous injuries have seen him drop to an 88-rated.

Diego Godin has also seen his rating drop by three, going from an 88-rated to an 85-rated.

Other players on the list include Manchester United pair Paul Pogba and David de Gea, as well as 2018 Ballon d'Or winner Luka Modric.
