Man Who Took Picture Of Diego Maradona's Dead Body Hands Himself Into The Police

One of the men who took a selfie alongside the dead body of Diego Maradona has handed himself into the police, after getting sacked by the funeral parlour.

Maradona passed away last Wednesday following a cardiac arrest in his home in Buenos Aires, leading to tributes to pour in from around the world and three days of national mourning in Argentina.

Whilst fans were trying to process the news, pictures of Maradona's dead body began circulating on the internet, after two funeral parlour workers too selfies next to the World Cup winner in a coffin.

One of the men to take a picture, Diego Molina, was fired by the funeral parlour and was then threatened with legal action by Maradona's lawyer.

Posting a picture of Molina on Twitter on Friday, Maradona's agent Matias Morla said, "For the sake of my friend's memory, I will not rest until he pays for this outrage."

The post led to fans hunting down the former funeral parlour worker and posting death threats and other unsavoury replies on social media.

After Molina's picture went viral, a picture of two more people posing next to Maradona's coffin was also shared on the internet.

"I've been close to Diego while he was alive. I would never have disrespected him while he was alive because he was my idol and it was not my intention after he died.

"I know a lot of people have been very offended and have taken it badly. I know it upset them.

"I ask all of them to forgive us.
