Former Bayern Munich defender Eric Dier has revealed the things Harry Kane and Luis Diaz don’t have to do, which some other players do.
Kane, 32, signed for Bayern from Spurs back in 2023 and has since registered 86 goals and 23 assists in 97 appearances for the German side and finally got his hands on his first career trophy when Vincent Kompany’s outfit won the Bundesliga in 2024/25.
Earlier this month, Luis Diaz joined Bayern from Liverpool in a deal worth £65.5m and will no doubt bolster the Bavarians’ already strong squad.
Both men scored during Bayern’s 2-1 Super Cup victory against Stuttgart on Saturday and appeared to link well during the 90 minutes.

Head coach Kompany has already been complimentary about Diaz’s impact and explained how “he's the most advanced of all physically and mentally”.

On Saturday, Kane was quick to praise the Colombian winger.
The England captain said: “I think his biggest asset, and probably what is going to be great for us this year, is the fact he scores goals like he did today."

Kane added: "He gets into that six-yard box, he makes those runs, and he has got a great finish. I think it is important, especially in this modern football, for the wingers to be scoring, hopefully 15 to 20 goals a season. The goal was a great run, a great finish."
So, based on his coach and fellow teammates’ recent comments, Diaz has already impressed in Germany, and according to former Bayern and Spurs man Dier, he and Kane more than likely are exempt from certain commitments around the club's training ground.

Earlier this week, Dier, 31, who currently plays for Monaco, spoke about his time in Germany with former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster on the ‘Fozcast’ and explained how the younger players at Bayern are expected to do various jobs around the training ground which Diaz and Kane more than likely don’t do given their status and age.

Dier revealed: “With Kompany, the young boys would clean up the pitch after training, they would pick up the cones, the balls. Any kids from the academy coming over [to the first team], they’d be doing that sort of thing. That has gone a little bit [in the modern game]."
