After the game, Harry Kane shared his thoughts on the 28-year-old's performance and touched on a potential issue.
He referenced the language barrier, considering the Colombian had notable difficulties with speaking English during his spell at Liverpool.
But the issue has seemingly been attended to after he has struck a bond with Joshua Kimmich, who speaks Spanish.
A video of the scenes inside the dressing room emerged in the wake of their win over Lyon, showing Kimmich and Diaz speaking to each other in a wholesome exchange.

"The lads do not realise I am always listening in the changing rooms and already understand a great deal," he told Bild.
Kimmich added: "Just training every day and coming home is not enough for me so my mother had the idea to learn another language. I learnt French in school and can already speak English. Because we have so many Spaniards in the team it seemed like a good idea."
