The German media have already given their verdict on new Bayern Munich winger Luis Diaz after the Colombian made his first appearance for the club on Saturday.
Diaz, 28, signed for Bayern Munich for £65.5m on a four-year deal, having explained how he had “fulfilled his duty” at now former club Liverpool, where he won four trophies – Premier League, FA Cup and two League Cups – in three and a half seasons on Merseyside.
On Saturday, he made his first appearance for Vincent Kompany’s side as the Bavarians ran out 2-1 winners against French outfit Lyon at the Allianz Arena.
Diaz even had a helping hand in Bayern’s opener as he won a penalty after drawing a foul from Clinton Mata before Michael Olise converted from 12 yards.

Speaking to Sky Germany after his side’s win, Harry Kane praised his new teammate.

"Díaz did a great job today,” said Kane. “We've only had a couple of training sessions together so far, but he seems hungry and lively. You can tell he's happy to be here. He's playing with a smile on his face. Today you could see how effective he is in the final third, and we'll need him this season – so I'm delighted he's here."
He added: "His English is not too bad. He communicates well with the team. Hopefully, his English and maybe his German as well picks up so some of the other players can talk to him as well. But with the coach talking English, I don't think he has a problem"

Meanwhile, Germany’s media also offered their thoughts on the Colombian winger’s first showing in the red of Bayern.
BILD wrote: “First win in Diaz's first game – and the first conclusion about Diaz: The youngster is fun to play, causing quite a stir on the left flank. This quickly silences all critics who consider his mega-transfer fee (up to €75 million) far too high.”
Kicker added: "Luis Diaz brought the certain sense of play that his predecessor Leroy Sané also embodied time and again to the field in his first 45 minutes, looking for dribbles, shots and the way to the goal, but got tangled up two or three times.

“Have Bayern finally found legitimate successors to the wing duo of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in him and Olise?”
Der Spiegel explained: "New star striker Luis Díaz celebrated a successful debut at FC Bayern. The 28-year-old played impressively and set up the opening goal – despite having good chances, the former Liverpool player was denied a single goal."
