Forgotten Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic has been asked to terminate his own contract to join a new club, it has been reported.
The 21-year-old hasn't played a competitive match for any club since May 2025, when he was on loan at La Liga side Las Palmas.
His last competitive appearance for Liverpool was as a second-half substitute in a 4-2 win over Tottenham in April 2024.
Bajcetic joined the Reds from Celta Vigo as a 16-year-old, becoming one of the last overseas players under the age of 18 to move to an English club before Brexit regulations prevented it.

His breakthrough into the first team came during the 2022/23 season, when Bajcetic made 11 Premier League appearances and impressed Jurgen Klopp.
But he has played just once for Liverpool in the league since then, with a host of injury problems wrecking his progress.
He missed the end of the 2022/23 campaign with an adductor tear, before a long-term calf injury kept him out of the majority of the next campaign as well.
Upon his return from Las Palmas last May, he required hamstring surgery which ruled him out of the entirety of last season.
The 21-year-old has not made an appearance during pre-season but has trained with the first team under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

The Spain youth international has been linked with both loan and permanent moves away from Anfield, with La Liga side Celta Vigo the latest club to offer him an escape route.
Bajcetic 'told to terminate contract' to leave Liverpool
That's according to local outlet Faro de Vigo (via Sport Witness), who claim that Bajcetic is not part of Iraola's plans this summer and is therefore allowed to leave.
But it is reported that Vigo want Bajcetic to reach an agreement with Liverpool to terminate the remaining year of his contract at Anfield.
The report adds, though, that the Spaniard is 'closer than ever' to moving back to La Liga, though would be placed in Celta's reserve and youth squads first as he regains vital match fitness.
A separate report, however, claims that Vigo are considering whether to loan him out to German third division club Fortuna Dusseldorf, having been informed he is 'perfectly fit physically'.
Speaking to Liverpool's official website in the summer of 2024, Bajcetic said that, as well as the physical aspect of recovering from serious injury, the mental aspect had also been tough for him to deal with.
"Just to go on the field every day is hard, in a way, because obviously you see your teammates play every day, every weekend and you want to be there," he said. "You feel like you should be there. And you want to get that feeling of playing again, but you're just not capable of.
"It's really hard. Not being able to train regularly with the team, alone in the gym sometimes, it's really tough. But, like I said, it only makes you stronger."
Bajcetic will now be hoping for a fresh start in Spain if he is indeed allowed to leave Liverpool this summer.
