Liverpool secured a 2-0 victory over Como in their final pre-season friendly ahead of their opening Premier League fixture this weekend when they travel to play Newcastle United.
Across the summer, Andoni Iraola will have assessed the options he has at the club, with fans still hopeful there could be some additions to the squad while they expect a few to depart before the closure of the transfer window.
Fans of the Reds will be aware it was not the only match they squared off with Como in yesterday, as prior to the evening fixture there was a 70-minute game played at the AXA Training Centre to give the entirety of the Liverpool squad minutes to get up to speed ahead of their opener against the Magpies.
However, there was one player absent from both squads, with it now appearing that he will be heading for the Anfield exit door, which should come as no surprise, as his last appearance for the Reds was 834 days ago against Tottenham Hotspur in a 4-2 victory.

Now, it appears Stefan Bajcetic is set to depart Liverpool to make a move to La Liga side Getafe, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Spanish underage international has endured a tough few seasons at Liverpool since breaking all sorts of records in his first senior campaign at Anfield.
Bajcetic appeared to be the long-term solution as Fabinho exited the club in the summer of 2023, as he impressed as the deputy in the Brazilian’s last season at Anfield.
Upon his Champions League debut for Liverpool, he became the youngest player to feature in the competition, as he replaced Thiago against Ajax in September 2022, taking the record from Billy Koumetio.
This first impressive season would be brought to an abrupt end in March 2023, as he suffered an adductor injury, with this essentially proving to end his career as a first-team player with Liverpool.
Bajcetic would feature on only three occasions across the next campaign due to injury, with this being the campaign in which he would have his final Liverpool appearance, when he played 25 minutes against Spurs.
The 21-year-old spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan at Red Bull Salzburg, the season in which their run of consecutive titles would come to an end as Sturm Graz won the Austrian Bundesliga, ending their haul at 10 in a row.
Las Palmas would be the club in which he spent the next campaign on loan, which would be another disappointing season as the side were relegated from La Liga.
Last season, Bajcetic would not feature once for the Reds despite remaining on Merseyside for the entirety of the campaign.
Now, as it appears that an exit to La Liga to join Getafe is on the cards, this may be the perfect opportunity for the 21-year-old to reignite his career and deliver on the promise he demonstrated at the age of 18 under Jurgen Klopp in his first senior campaign.
