Manchester United are considering a surprise move for one of Liverpool's top transfer targets as they consider signing TWO new forwards.
Michael Carrick will begin his first full season as Manchester United head coach with an away trip to face the newly-promoted Hull City in their Premier League opener on Saturday, August 22.
Ahead of the match, United have been relatively busy in the transfer market, signing two new midfielders in Aston Villa star Youri Tielemans and Chelsea's Andrey Santos for a combined £85million, with former Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow also joining on a free transfer.
Despite this, many fans feel that United still need to make several more signings before the transfer window closes, with the club seemingly agreeing amid links to both Real Madrid midfielder Tchouameni and Newcastle United defender Lewis Hall,

However, it now appears that reinforcements in the forward line could be United's priority, as two exciting new attackers have been linked with a move to Old Trafford, including one of Liverpool's top targets.
According to TeamTalk, United have enquired about whether Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Myabe would be willing to move to Old Trafford amid reports both he and PSG would be open to an exit this summer.
The 18-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield, alongside teammate Bradley Barcola, but reports on Thursday claimed that the Reds have pulled out of the deal due to PSG's financial demands.
It is believed that, in order for Liverpool to sign both Barcola, their number one target, and Mbaye, they would have to spend around €200million (£171m), a number deemed to be too much at Anfield.
This leaves the door open for United to swoop in and sign the exciting PSG youngster, who many believe could be one of the most promising young forwards in Europe right now.
Of course, doing so would also deal a blow to Liverpool as it would rule out any chances of returning for Mbaye either later this window or some other time in the future, or at the very least United's interest could drive PSG's financial demands even higher.

And Mbaye isn't the only exciting youngster linked with a move to United this summer, as the club is also reportedly considering a move for German under-21 star Nicolo Tresoldi.
Currently playing for Belgian side Club Brugge, the forward is valued at around €45-50million (£32.5-42.7m).
It is believed that, should Tresoldi arrive at United, he would not immediately become a part of the starting lineup, but would instead be deemed competition for Sesko, following his 12-goal debut season.
Tresoldi scored 23 goals and provide nine assists across 58 appearances in all competitions last season, so it comes as no surprise that several clubs are interested in securing his signature this summer.
Alongside United, Chelsea and Tottenham have also been linked with a move, while Barcelona appears to be the most advanced in their pursuit of the German.
