Alphonso Davies has stepped up his recovery following an ACL injury he suffered on international duty earlier this year.
The lightning-quick left-back sustained the problem while playing for Canada at the end of March and forced him to miss the final few matches of the Bundesliga season.
Bayern eased to the title, ultimately wrestling back their crown from Bayer Leverkusen, finishing 13 points clear of their German counterparts.
Vincent Kompany’s side get their title defence up and running later this month when they welcome RB Leipzig to the Allianz Arena.

However, it’ll be some time before Davies is back playing for Bayern as he steps up his recovery from a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The 24-year-old recently completed his first individual running session and declared, “I feel great” as he gets used to being back on the grass.
“It took a while, but now I'm just happy to be back out in the fresh air and able to run faster than five kilometres per hour,” Davies told the official Bayern website.

“In the first few months after the injury, I could only walk. Being able to jog a little bit again definitely feels different.”
On his first session running, Davies added: “I tried to run a little slower at first, but the coach told me to run a little faster. I was thrilled about that. But I know I have to take it step by step.”
And on the plan ahead for the coming weeks, the Bayern star stated: “I’m someone who likes to run fast, but I know I have to stay patient. We’ll see what the reaction is after the running and strength sessions. The next step will be building up the muscles in the leg and hoping that everything goes smoothly.”
Davies has previously spoken about the psychological impact of sustaining such a serious injury.

On a video released in May, the Canada international said: “I'm not going to lie, that was hard. I had a mental breakdown. I don't know what came over me. I went to take a shower, and I just broke down in tears and panic.”
And it’s not just mentally where Davies, who has been joined on the sidelines by teammate Jamal Musiala, has been affected by suffering an ACL injury, with users taking to X to comment on the physical impact that comes with being unable to use his right leg.
“Look at Davies‘ leg damn,” X user @MusialaEra commented with a picture of Davies working alongside fellow absentee Hiroki Ito.
ACL injuries have become more commonplace in football as the number of games increases year on year.

Manchester City’s Rodri suffered said injury against Arsenal last year, while James Maddison and Levi Colwill have both fallen foul to the problem in pre-season and are expected to miss most, if not all, of the 2025/26 Premier League season.
