The legendary Muhammad Ali has fended off fierce competition to be named the best heavyweight of all time by boxing fans.
Ali, birth name Cassius Clay, became a cultural icon in the 20th century and is widely revered as one of the finest athletes in boxing history.
And boxing fans on Ranker voted for the 'Greatest' to be named top of a star-studded list of heavyweights.

Behind Ali in second place is Rocky Marciano, who remains the only heavyweight champion in history to have retired undefeated.
Joe Louis and Jack Dempsey finished third and fourth respectively, while boxing legend George Foreman rounded off the top five.
Other boxing icons in the top 10 included Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.
