Tyson Fury reveals key Dana White detail he took out of Anthony Joshua fight contract

Tyson Fury has revealed he had a key detail removed from his Anthony Joshua contract.

Fury and Joshua's all-British superfight was finally confirmed on Thursday after negotiations dragged on.

The pair will square off inside the squared circle on Friday, December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Joshua's long-time promoter Eddie Hearn worked tirelessly to ensure the fight took place in the United Kingdom and not in the United States.

But while successful in that aspect, the Matchroom chief has been left furious after a press release stated that Dana White is collaborating with Turki Alalshikh for the bout.

Hearn even threatened a boycott of a press conference next week because he claims "there has been about six breaches" in the contracts.

Fury, however, welcome's White's supposed involvement in the fight and in an new interview, claimed that both he and rival Joshua had it in their contracts that the UFC president could not have a promotional role.

The Gypsy King states that he had the same clause as Joshua but had it taken out as he wants White involved.

"He's promoter isn't he? Fury said in an interview with FurociTV.

"So after all of Eddie Hearn's bumsmacking and all the 'We want it in England' to get rid of Dana White but I'm sure it just got announced by Ring that Ring and Dana White are promoting this fight.

"How mad is that? I’m sure I’ve just seen a post from Ring to say Ring & Dana are promoting this fight.

"But in Joshua’s contract apparently it says that TKO and Dana couldn't be involved but that was in mine but I took it out.

"I took it out because I want him involved. Two baldies together. I like Dana. A good businessman and a good guy.

"A man who came from nothing to become a billionaire and look what he's done with the UFC. Unbelievable. I think he can do really well in boxing.

"I think he drives Eddie Hearn out and feeds him to the fishes. I've got no problem with Eddie, he's just got a rival boxer and that's it.

"I'd go out for a beer with Eddie Hearn today."

White has been over in the United Kingdom ahead of a Zuffa Boxing card on Saturday and addresses his role in the upcoming superfight in an interview with Sky Sports.

The 57-year-old is adamant that as per the press release, he is very much promoting the bout - despite Hearn's recent comments.

White told Sky Sports: "I think the press release speaks for itself, I’ve been saying since the beginning of the talks for this fight that I was going to be involved in the promotion of it."

"I'm sitting here promoting the fight right now. Who's gonna stop me? What did I lose? I promise you I have lost nothing."

Asked if the negotiations were stressful and painful, White added: "Not at all. This is what we do. You figure out how to generate as much revenue as you possibly can for a fight and this was no different other than one little crybaby.

"Frank Warren was a complete stud, he gets it and has less than zero ego about this whole thing. He's a businessman."
