Tyson Fury’s father, John, has described his brother Peter as a “cockroach” after the boxing trainer revealed he’d given Anthony Joshua advice.
Peter previously trained Tyson between 2012 and 2017, helping the self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ capture heavyweight glory when he defeated Wladimir Klitschko by unanimous decision in Düsseldorf, Germany, back in 2015.
During this period, Peter acted like a father to Tyson while John served four years of an 11-year prison sentence.

John Fury explains feud with brother Peter
But over a decade on, John has vowed never to speak to his brother again, with the pair previously feuding over money and the management of Tyson’s career.

Of course, earlier this week, Tyson and Joshua finally came face to face at a press conference previewing their long-awaited all-British heavyweight showdown in Cardiff, Wales, on December 11.
On October 1, Peter claimed that he spoke to AJ “two months ago about advice on his skill set”, before describing the Watford heavyweight as a “really nice guy”.
And this has clearly rubbed John up the wrong way, with the former boxer unleashing a brutal rant about Peter during an episode of the Playbook Boxing podcast.
In a clip published on October 3, John went into depth about the reasons for his feud with his brother, vowing to “never speak to him” for “as long as I live”.
“If he was to do that [talk to AJ] in any way, shape or form, that would make him the lowest form of human being,” John said.
“Even thinking about doing it, that makes him the biggest dog, the biggest untrustworthy dog of all time.
“If he’s going to start giving phone calls and advice, meeting in secret, giving him secret sessions, he’s a f***ing cockroach.”
John was previously embroiled in a feud with Tyson, with the 61-year-old admitting the pair’s relationship was “destroyed” and that they were not on speaking terms.
When it was put to John that it may have actually been Joshua who contacted Peter, he hit back: “The only advice he could have wanted is on Tyson, isn’t it? There is no smoke without fire.”
Then, looking directly down the camera lens, John fumed: “Son, give your head a wobble. Don’t sell your soul to the devil for a fiver.”
Anthony Joshua reveals conversation with Peter Fury
Speaking at the news conference on September 30, Joshua outlined exactly what he and Peter had been discussing, claiming Tyson was not a topic that was raised.
“I speak to Peter Fury. He's willing to help me as well [as Davison],” Joshua said.
When asked whether Peter had given him information about Tyson, AJ explained: “Yeah, but not about Fury... about our training and our approach. How I can approach the fight.
“It's not: 'Oh, Fury does this.' It was more like: 'I've seen what you do and this is where he thinks he can improve.'
“It goes back to that saying. Everybody wants me to win. Everybody's going to tell me how to win. But the most important person to listen to is myself at this point in my career.
“So, I'm going to take everything with a pinch of salt. But what I was saying is... It wasn't so much going to Ben and Peter because they have worked with Fury before. The reason why I went with Ben is because they pinpoint things.”
