Jake Paul sparked a debate with his remarks about political protesters after taking to the stage at US President Donald Trump's rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday (October 12).
Paul travelled on Air Force One with Trump and former NFL head coach Jon Gruden for the rally, before taking the podium himself.
An Ohio native, who rose to fame through online videos before pursuing a career in boxing, Paul criticised protesters in his speech and emphasised his view that political power should remain with ordinary Americans.

Jake Paul mocked after giving speech in front of Donald Trump rally
Having forged a successful career as an online creator, boxer and businessman, Paul is no stranger to dominating the headlines with his controversial takes, and his speech at Trump's rally highlighted that.

The US President's appearance in Youngstown was part of his campaign efforts to help Republicans retain their congressional positions in the upcoming midterm elections.
Paul is a well-known Trump supporter alongside his brother Logan, and when he was introduced to the stage by the 80-year-old, he opened up with a jab at the Democratic Party and its supporters.
"I get confused by the left, the protesters. Do they not have jobs? That's all they do is carry signs around while we're doing the work," the 29-year-old said.
The influencer did not get the crowd reaction he'd hoped for, with very few making much noise even as he paused for applause.
"We have to protect Ohio; we face evil," he continued. "All they do is talk on Twitter, but Twitter fingers never built the country, hate has never built the country, and the woke socialist movement that we face has never built a country."
While those remarks were met more enthusiastically by the crowd, his punchline ultimately fell flat and even Trump admitted that he was worried about what was going to leave his mouth when he stepped up to the stage.
"That was very good! I was very impressed. You have to be a little bit careful with Jake. I didn't know exactly what the hell he was going to say!" Trump exclaimed. "That was very good. Thank you, Jake!"
What's next for Jake Paul?
After receiving surgery for his broken jaw following his knockout defeat to Anthony Joshua in December, Paul initially considered retiring from boxing.
But after recovering from the injury, the influencer instantly performed a U-turn and is expected to return to combat sports at some point in 2027.
An MMA fight has long been on the cards for Paul, and after his company, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), merged with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) in a bid to rival Dana White's UFC in July, talk of him entering the octagon ramped up.
Currently, no opponent or official date has been confirmed, but the American has been keeping himself sharp, with footage emerging of him hitting a heavy bag with a large snake wrapped around the chain above it.
The animal, believed to be a python, remained close to the bag as Paul circled cautiously, occasionally throwing punches while watching its movements.
The footage was hugely criticised online for putting the animal under unnecessary distress, with this backlash only generating more negativity towards the influencer.
