Anthony Joshua has defeated Jake Paul via knockout after a dramatic performance in the United States.
Although it took longer than many had expected, Joshua managed to knock out Paul in the sixth round, ensuring he was not the casualty of one of the biggest upsets in sporting history.
It took Joshua until the fifth round to land his first knockdown of the fight, but Paul hit the canvas twice during those three minutes and was clinging on by the end of the round.
Although the American got up following a third knockdown in the sixth, a fourth proved one too many.

The American continued to do a good job of avoiding the Briton's big punches in the early rounds, using the slightly larger ring to his advantage.
Joshua grew increasingly frustrated in the fourth round as Paul fell to the canvas several times before the official intervened.
As Paul started to tire, he was knocked down twice in the fifth round and despite being penned into the corner, the American managed to survive the round.
The American got back to his feet after he was knocked for a third time in the sixth round, but was knocked out later that round.
Joshua entered the bout against the YouTuber-turned-boxer as the overwhelming favourite, having twice held the world heavyweight title.
Paul, who turned professional just five years ago, defeated former world champion Mike Tyson last year, but Tyson's prime was decades ago.

It was the Briton's first fight since September 2024, when he was knocked out by Daniel Dubois at Wembley.
Joshua had planned to return on a card in Saudi Arabia, but the reported £140 million purse to face Paul proved too tempting to resist.
His victory moves him a step closer to a potentially huge all-British clash with Tyson Fury next year.
Although The Gypsy King retired from boxing at the start of the year, speculation continues over a showdown between two of Britain's greatest heavyweights.
Promoters Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn have both expressed their desire to make the fight happen in the summer of 2026.
