Joelinton put in a man-of-the-match display in Newcastle's 1-1 draw with Manchester United tonight, and did the obligatory post-match interview with Sky Sports.

Reporter Patrick Davidson went against the grain in kicking off his interview and said: "Joelinton, can I be completely honest? I didn't realise you were that good!"
It's fair to say that his attempt at humour didn't go down well on Twitter, with many fans slamming the question as being very disrespectful towards the Brazilian.
That's a disgraceful opening question that mind.

This is absolutely abysmal questioning. Fair play to Joelinton for showing a bit of class and not reacting. Awful #NUFC https://t.co/ezFiMVyEee

The man himself took it all in his stride though, and Newcastle will need plenty more performances like that in their bid to beat relegation this season.
While the post-match question was disrespectful, he earned plenty of praise from teammate Sean Longstaff, who praised the midfielder's attitude.
:speaking_head: "The disrespect he gets is a disgrace, to be honest."

The result means Eddie Howe's men have amassed just 11 points from 19 games this season and have only recorded one win so far.
They are two points adrift of Watford in 17th, but have played two games more than the Hornets, in their quest for Premier League survival.
For Man United, their hopes of securing Champions League football took a hit, and they are now seven points adrift of Arsenal, but do have two games in hand over the Gunners.
