Darren Fletcher forced to put Man United fan in his place during ugly exchange after Sabah game
Darren Fletcher was involved in heated exchange with a Manchester United fan after the 4-0 win over Sabah on Thursday night.
United returned to the Champions League in style after a two-season absence, with Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko and Lisandro Martinez all on target.
But in a bizarre turn of events, United legend Fletcher was forced to put a United supporter in his place in footage which emerged from outside of Old Trafford.
@StrettyEnd_official on Instagram shared the clip, where Under-18s coach Fletcher was seen having a go at a supporter.

It was claimed the issue was over players refusing to sign autographs for supporters outside the ground. Fletcher was not happy with one fan's "abusive" tone and told him straight in front of people who had gathered outside, including the Sabah players.

In the video, Fletcher was heard saying: "Listen, it doesn't matter you can't speak like that, have some respect. You're the reason that people don't sign."
His comments were met with huge cheers from other fans, who chanted his name as he walked away.
Fletcher, who had a short spell as interim boss last season, was watching one of his sons, Tyler, who was on the bench for the win against Sabah.
On social media, fans were split about Fletcher's outburst.
One supporter on Instagram disagreed with what he said and commented, "Fan is right the players should acknowledge and do their bits pre and post match. Fergie would expect that. Another example of how standards have dropped."
A second added: "The fan is right though."
A third stated: "I’m a Liverpool fan and must admit this is brilliant from fletcher. He is spot on."
A fourth user wrote: "The self entitlement of fans is laughable. You’ve bought a ticket to watch the match. If you get anything else on top of that it’s a bonus."
Man United had strict autograph rule enforced by Ruben Amorim
The issue surrounding whether players should be stopping to sign for fans outside the stadiums is one that clearly divides opinions, but Ruben Amorim's view on the matter was very clear.
The former United boss, who preceded both Fletcher and Michael Carrick, brought in a strict rule regarding autographs.
According to The Athletic, Amorim demanded that half of the squad must sign autographs before a game at Old Trafford, with the remaining half obliged to sign afterwards.
Having time for the supporters was a basic principle enforced by Sir Alex Ferguson, United's greatest ever manager.
United are back at Old Trafford on Sunday, hosting Manchester City in the first derby of the season.
