'That is criminal!' - Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer derail live Sky Sports interview after chaotic Leeds game

Morgan Rogers was furious when he was snubbed for the man-of-the-match award after Chelsea's comeback win over Leeds United in the Carabao Cup.

On Wednesday night, Leeds United looked set to pull off a major upset as they took a two-goal lead over Chelsea in their Carabao Cup third-round clash at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately for the northern team, a spectacular second-half performance from Xabi Alonso's side saw Leeds lose 6-2, largely thanks to star summer signing Rogers.

Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer argue over Leeds man-of-the-match award

With Chelsea trailing 1-0 at half-time, Alonso brought Rogers, Cole Palmer and Pedro Neto on to completely transform the game.

Shortly after their introduction, Palmer scored twice, a penalty in the 53rd minute before scoring a tidy goal just two minutes later, with Rogers assisting four of the six Chelsea goals.

Therefore, when it was revealed that Palmer had been named the man of the match, Rogers was fuming, leading to a hilarious exchange between the pair.

"Mate, I got four assists! Nah, nah, I can't believe that. That is mental. He scored a penalty. That is mental," Rogers shouted.

Then Palmer, staying humble, said: "I started the comeback, but I’ll shout you out and say you should’ve had it, don’t worry about that.”

To which Rogers replied: "Don't mention me. I am just a bystander. That is criminal."

According to Opta, Rogers technically only got three assists, but it's more than fair to say that he absolutely deserved the award following his fundamental role in Chelsea's stunning comeback victory.

When Rogers arrived at Stamford Bridge as the British Premier League transfer record for a massive £117million, expectations were high on the Englishman to perform well in his first season with Chelsea.

Paramount to this success has been his close relationship with Palmer, who he has been friends with since their time together at the Manchester City academy and England youth teams.

Like Rogers, Palmer has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, clearly putting his omission from England's World Cup squad over the summer behind him.

In Chelsea's five matches so far this summer, he's scored four goals and assisted one, reminding fans why he's one of the best players in the league.

It therefore comes as no surprise that both Palmer and Rogers, alongside teammate Joao Pedro, are among the most transferred-in players in Fantasy Premier League ahead of their next match against newly-promoted Hull City.
