The debate surrounding Brazil's greatest ever player was rife on Tuesday night after Neymar surpassed Ronaldo in the all-time scoring charts.
The 28-year-old, who is now just 13 goals behind Pele's goalscoring record, bagged a hat-trick in their 4-2 win over Peru, taking his overall tally to 64 goals in 103 appearances for Seleção.
In the meantime, Neymar breezed past the great Ronaldo in the overall charts.

The former Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan forward netted 62 times in 98 appearances during his 17 year career with the national team.
And following the World Cup qualifier victory at the Nacional Stadium in Lima, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, who also performed the classic finger-wagging celebration, paid tribute to 'R9' on social media.
"All my respect for you PHENOMENON." he wrote on Twitter.

Neymar's clinical record on the international stage is impressive to say the least.
The former Barcelona and Santos forward will almost certainly be regarded as one of the all-time greats but despite his contribution for Brazil down the years, fans believe he still doesn't break into the all-time top 10.
In fact, Neymar is only ranked in 15th place, behind the likes of Kaka, Cafu and Rivaldo on Ranker's' official list.
