Stats Show That Neymar And Mbappe Barely Pass To Cavani

He's hardly had the ball off his attacking colleagues this season...

Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani may be one of the best attacking tridents in world football but some surprising statistics have emerged relating to how much they have passed to one another this eason.

French newspaper L'Equipe have had an in-depth look at the trio's passing combinations and the main takeaway is that Neymar and Mbappe link up a lot, but very rarely do they feed Cavani.

25% of the Brazilian's passes end up in the path of the World Cup winner - with Mbappe returning the favour by delivering 31% of his passes back to the world's most expensive player.

Yet the interesting reading lies when Cavani enters the equation. 5% of Mbappe's passes are for the Uruguayan, with Neymar's tally at a mere 0.5%.

28% of Cavani's passes have found Neymar but most incredibly, ZERO percent of his passes have ended up being received by 2017 Golden Boy Mbappe.

Despite his lack of service from his colleagues in attack, the former Napoli striker has six goals in seven games for Thomas Tuchel's side this season.

Neymar has 11 in as many games but it's Mbappe who has the best record of the three thanks to his sensational four-goal haul at the weekend.

A red card meant he missed a few games but the boy-wonder still sits on a brilliant tally of 10 goals in all competitions going into the next international break.
