At the age of just 16 years, 11 months, and two days, Danubio wonderkid Nicolás Siri has become the youngest player in the history of professional football to score a hat-trick, taking the record from Pele.

The talented Uruguayan forward, who scored on his debut against Nacional last weekend, built on his impressive start by netting a perfect hat-trick against Boston River on Friday, showing incredible composure to help his side to a 5-1 win at the Centenario Stadium.

As a result of his efforts in front of goal, Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly monitoring his progress closely.

Take a look at his hat-trick below. This kid looks like the real deal.

Following the club's 5-1 win against Boston River, a delighted Siri spoke to the press.

"I am very happy, it is a dream come true." he told Radio Oriental. "Luckily everything is happening. It was the first time I played in the Centennial, the truth is that it is all a dream.

"I always try to enjoy myself, I hope to continue like this."

Danubio currently sit in 11th place in the Uruguayan Primera División after a poor start to the campaign but Siri showcased maturity beyond his years when asked about their current situation.

"We are in a delicate moment, but we need to face the best we have, playing football and doing what we know how to do. We will continue to fight until the end."
