Copenhagen's 2019 Third Kit Is Genuinely A Thing Of Beauty

Nigeria, Parma, Jamaica, AEK and Ferro de General Pico were amongst our nominees for the best kits of 2018 and now for 2019 F.C. Copenhagen have stolen a march with a fantastic new kit.

We all love something aesthetically pleasing in football, whether it's a goal that looks a bit sexy or Herve Renard prowling the touchline- come on, it's okay to admit it- there's just nothing better than things that look good.

Don't get me wrong I'm not completely shallow, I love an ugly goal as much as a beautiful one and I love a manager as much for his tactical acumen and post match press conferences as much I do for his or her looks.

But when it comes to kits I am totally and utterly shallow. I'm not going up to a football kit in a shop to find out about its personality or whether it likes long walks on the football pitch, I just want it to look good.

2018 was a good year for kit announcements, especially when it came to the World Cup, and we've got an early entry for 2019 that suggests we're on for another good'un.

FC Copenhagen's entry, releasing their third kid, was announced in a video and it is a very good marker for everyone else to beat:

Speaking about the shirt, on the club's website, Martin Nøhr Rådberg, manager at the FCK Fanshop, said, "It has been crucial for us to create a shirt that is more than just a football jersey, said .

"It is a shirt that you also want to wear when you're not even at football.

"This shirt will help bring football from the stadium and into the Copenhagen streets.

"That is also why we have collaborated with ICEKIID to present it in this way."

Copenhagen are currently second in the Danish league, behind Midtjylland, and sit third in their Europa League group.

They could still qualify for the knockout stages with two games of the groups to go and hopefully they do so we can see that kit in action.

I like pretty things, nothing wrong with that.
