Andros Townsend has reposted a video on Instagram which states he is 'fine' after he was ran over by a pitch roller in a freak accident before his latest game in Thailand.
Townsend currently plays for Thai League 1 club PT Prachuap and was warming up for their away match against Pattani F.C. when a man on a pitch roller drove on to the field of play.
The 35-year-old was struck by the roller and his left leg went underneath it, but he miraculously managed to escape serious injury.

Townsend was not named in Prachuap's starting XI but did come off the bench in second half stoppage time as they secured a 3-0 win.

He then reposted another video, of the viral scene where Spiderman uses his strength to stop a moving bus, which was captioned: "The raw testicle in Townsend's system holding his ACL together."

Though the 35-year-old hadn't disclosed whether he suffered any injury at all, it does appear is if things are all well.
Andros Townsend has some unusual eating habits
Towards the latter stages of his career, Townsend has become known for his rather unusual diet and eating tips.
In 2023, he told Ben Foster that he ate steamed chicken feet 'every night for dinner', stating that the daily pills he was taking during training were 'mainly from chicken feet and random stuff like that'.
During the World Cup, he ate boiled eggs while on co-commentary for ITV after fasting for eight hours, and also said he eats two sardines per day. He also consumes steak with a bone broth as another source of collagen.
In a match between Canada and Qatar, fans were left concerned that Townsend was consuming raw meat after seeing his post on TikTok.
"Never let circumstances dictate your health," he wrote on TikTok. "For most people, travel becomes an excuse. Long days, airports, hotels, stadiums, limited options.
"I see it differently. Your environment will never be perfect but your standards don't have to change. Whether I'm at home or covering a World Cup match on the other side of the world, the goal remains the same: prioritise my health, fuel my body properly, and make decisions that move me forward."
