Andros Townsend has mortified football fans by showing what he was eating while working for ITV at the World Cup.
The former England international, who played 291 times in the Premier League for Spurs, Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Everton and Luton Town, has been on regular co-commentary duty for the broadcaster.
Townsend has been giving his analysis alongside lead commentator Seb Hutchinson, working on a number of games across North America.
He has been on co-comms for Argentina vs Algeria, Germany vs Curacao and Canada vs Qatar among other fixtures.

The 34-year-old has been documenting his travels on his official TikTok page, where he has 30,000 followers and 268,000 likes.
But in one of his most recent videos, Townsend's choice of food from when he was covering Canada vs Qatar in Vancouver caused a huge stir online.
He filmed himself eating what appeared to be raw beef from a tupperware, with the caption, 'Never let your circumstances dictate your health'.
The longer caption gave a more detailed explanation, which read: "Never let your circumstances dictate your health. For most people, travel becomes an excuse. Long days, airports, hotels, stadiums, limited options.
"I see it differently. Your environment will never be perfect, but your standards don’t have to change. Whether I’m at home or covering a World Cup match on the other side of the world, the goal remains the same: prioritise my health, fuel my body properly, and make decisions that move me forward."
The obstacles are always there. So are the solutions. Choose which one you focus on."

Naturally, Townsend consuming raw beef became quite the talking point.
One user said: "I dont mean to alarm anyone but Andros Townsend is at the world cup eating raw beef out of tupperware."
A second wrote: "Lifes too short to eat like this 365 days a year Andros."
Another commented: "Andros fella just have a burger and chips."
Elsewhere on his TikTok, Townsend has revealed he has been fasting for eight hours and broke it while on co-commentary by eating boiled eggs.
While in Mexico, he explained that he cooked a steak from his AirBNB in the US and packed it in a cooler bag, as well as eating two sardines a day.
He also showed his fans the raw ice cream and documented the seven-day water only fast he carried out.
Food decisions which have not been accepted by many are not new from Townsend as he previously spoke about eating chicken feet and believes it has huge benefits.
Speaking on Ben Foster's Fozcast in 2023, he admitted: “Every night for dinner I eat chicken feet. Steamed chicken feet.
"I swear to you. Because the collagen in the chicken feet, there's the cartilage.
“The daily pills you take at training is mainly from chicken feet and random stuff like that.”
Townsend is still playing and recently finished a season playing in Thailand with Kanchanaburi Power.
That followed a spell in Turkey with Antalyaspor, who had a transfer ban when they signed him on a free.
