Video of Spurs’ warming up before Aston Villa match may worry fans
Spurs and Aston Villa are currently battling it out in the Premier League with the scoreline 0-1 at the break to Unai Emery's team, the goal coming from Johan Manzambi in addition time at the end of the half.
Neither side have made a good start to their league campaign, as between the two sides they have only registered two goals, this being for Emery’s side.
However, if Villa can hold onto this result until fulltime they may look at this the point where their season truly began.
Meanwhile Spurs supporters are still waiting to see their team hit the back of the net in the division, but after a video of their warm-up ahead of this clash between the two sides near the foot of the table was posted on social media, concerns of their fan base may grow.
In a video posted to X, it shows the players are seen doing a shooting drill 15 minutes before kick-off.
From the footage in the clip, only six of the 21 shots hit the target, a sight no fan will want to see as they search for better luck in front of goal.
In the first half, Roberto De Zerbi’s team’s accuracy seemed to improve slightly despite not scoring a goal, as four of their nine attempts hit the target.
Spurs fans react to the warm up ahead of Aston Villa clash
While it may be expected that there would be some concern about the lack of shots on target, the majority of the opinions seem to be looking for the brighter and more optimistic view that they were just getting rid of all the bad efforts before the match.
One supporter said: “They probably save it for the game.”
Another added: “Get the misses out of the way early , good thinking.”
With a third supporter agreeing as they wrote: “Just getting it out of their system. Seen them hit the target a lot in prematch and then couldn’t hit barn door during so let’s hope it’s the reverse!”
Now, it must be noted that despite their optimism Spurs still did not score a goal in the first half of their game with Villa.
So, the pessimists from viewing this footage, while they will be feeling vindicated in their concerns, will not be pleased that this may indicate another season of woe at White Hart Lane.
One supporter said: “No pressure from 15 yards and they're delivering those results lol.”
Another said: “Sums it right up.”
While one individual simply said: “Long story short. It’s over!”
