The career of Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard hasn't exactly gone to plan but at least he will getting much-needed game-time after joining Vitesse Arnhem on loan for the season.
The 19-year old was sent on loan to Heerenveen in the Eredivisie for 18 months and now returns to the Dutch top flight with Chelsea's partner club.
After struggling for game-time at Los Blancos, making just two appearances for the first-team and predominantly playing for the club's Castilla side following his big move from Strømsgodset, Odegaard was sent out on loan in January 2017.
He made a decent impression for Heerenveen in his 18 month stint there and then returned to Real Madrid for pre-season this summer.
Julen Lopetegui had a good look at him but after he entered the fray after half-time against Manchester United in the United States, the Madrid manager substituted him in the 77th minute after just 31 minutes.

The 13-time European champions have thus decided to loan him out to the Eredivisie for a second time as they look to develop him further. He was linked with a Championship move but Vitesse, who finished in sixth position last term, will be his next destination.
