The feud between Rio Ferdinand and Jamie Carragher has returned as the pair were involved in a public spat on social media.
On Saturday, Liverpool returned to Premier League action against Brighton and Hove Albion at Anfield, as they looked to continue their recent unbeaten run.
Summer signing Hugo Ekitike was the star of the show as he scored twice to seal a 2-0 win for the Reds, moving them up to sixth place.
However, the headlines were stolen by Mohamed Salah, who returned to the field for the first time since his explosive interview on the back of the 3-3 draw against Leeds United.

Having been left out of Liverpool's 1-0 win over Inter Milan, Salah was brought on for Joe Gomez in the 26th minute, and he went on to provide an assist for Ekitike's second goal.
At the final whistle, Salah was serenaded by the Liverpool fans ahead of him heading to AFCON with Egypt.

Taking to social media, Ferdinand took the opportunity to aim a dig at Carragher, who was highly critical of Salah's interview.
The ex-Manchester United star wrote: "Thoughts @Carra23? “Mo Salah” being sung by the Kop."
In response, Carragher said: "And rightly so, he was fantastic when he came on. Thoughts on the price of the World Cup tickets. A man of the people would surely call @FIFAcom & Infantino out. Or was your pay packet for the draw (acting) to buy your silence."
After Ferdinand replied with two fishing emojis, Carragher took the matter further as he wrote: "The old classic. Then tweet about Arsenal & tag Piers Morgan to fill your notifications up."

When asked about Salah's return following the Brighton match, Liverpool boss Arne Slot said the decision was 'easy'.
He said: "It was an easy decision to put him in the squad. I have said many times before what has been said between us will stay between us. He was back in the squad and we needed him.
"I think he was a threat. The first ball he touched, he almost made an assist for Mac Allister. He was constantly involved in the fact we had Mo. Pleasing to see but not a surprise."
Liverpool will be back in Premier League action next weekend when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
