Mo Salah Launches Attack on Arne Slot and Says He's Been 'Thrown Under the Bus'

The Liverpool star didn't hold back in a damning interview following the draw with Leeds United.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has lashed out at Arne Slot in a brutal interview following the 3-3 draw with Leeds United.

On Saturday evening, Liverpool threw away a 2-0 lead over Leeds United as they drew 3-3 with the promoted club at Elland Road.

Ahead of the match, manager Slot surprised fans as he once again named star player Salah on the bench for the game, despite the fact that the Egyptian will soon be unavailable as he leaves to play at the AFCON.

It marked the third successive game that the Liverpool boss has decided not to include Salah in the starting lineup.

And now, Salah himself has finally spoken out to address his lack of minutes in a damning interview.

The last time that Salah was named in Liverpool's starting lineup was the damning 4-1 loss to Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on November 26.

Since then, Slot has faced calls for Salah to be dropped from the team due to his lacklustre form just months after winning the PFA Player of the Year award.

However, Salah has admitted that he feels that he is being "thrown under the bus" by the club, despite the fact that he has done so much for them in the past.

Speaking post-match, he admitted: “I can't believe it, I’m very, very disappointed. I have done so much for this club down the years and especially last season."

Salah added: “Now I’m sitting on the bench and I don’t know why. It seems like the club has thrown me under the bus. That is how I am feeling. I think it is very clear that someone wanted me to get all of the blame."

The Egyptian also opened up about his current feelings towards Slot, claiming that he feels that either the manager or someone else in the Liverpool hierarchy have decided that they no longer want him at the club.

He added: "I got a lot of promises in the summer and so far I am in the bench for three games, so I can’t say they keep the promise

"I said many times before that I had a good relationship with the manager and all of a sudden, we don’t have any relationship. I don’t know why, but it seems to me, how I see it, that someone doesn’t want me in the club."

Salah claimed that in Liverpool's next home match – a Premier League clash with Brighton on Saturday – he will say goodbye to fans ahead of what he believes is an uncertain future following his campaign with Egypt at AFCON.

“Yesterday I said to [my parents], ‘Come to the Brighton game.’ I don’t know if I am going to play or not but I am going to enjoy it," he said.

"In my head, I’m going to enjoy that game because I don’t know what is going to happen now. I will be at Anfield to say goodbye to the fans and go the Africa cup. I don’t know what is going to happen when I am there.”

On several occasions Salah has been linked with a big-money move to the Saudi Pro League, something that he refused to rule out given his current feelings towards Liverpool.

“In football you never know,” he said. “I don’t accept this situation. I have done so much for this club. “I don’t want to answer this question [about Saudi], because the club is going to take me to a different direction."
