Jamie Carragher has reignited his feud with former England teammate Rio Ferdinand after he referred to himself as a "man of the people".
The ex Manchester United defender hasn't been on TV screens in the UK this season after leaving his role as a pundit with TNT Sports and relocating to Dubai with his family.
However, Ferdinand has been given a huge role for Friday's 2026 World Cup draw as he will be 'conductor' for the star-studded event at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.

Going into the showpiece in North America, a huge point of discussion has been the high ticket prices which could stop die-hard fans from attending.
In an interview with the BBC's Dan Roan, Ferdinand was asked about "dynamic pricing that might be pricing out certain fans" and the need to have proper football fans in attendance to bring the atmosphere.
"I am a man of the people in terms of I'm from a place where we were always hoping for things to be accessible," he said.
"I know that the people behind the scenes at FIFA are aiming and working to something like that now, whether they get there for that remains to be seen.

"I think we have to be conscious of that and I think FIFA are definitely people who are conscious of that, the powers that be there.
"I think we can look at every industry, every sector, we have that conversation about things and I think it's more about making sure that there's a product that's super elite that matches what's on the pitch and then everyone can feel that it's justified taking time out and working hard to go and get tickets."
Having grown up a council estate in Peckham, London, before going in to become one of the Premier League's greatest ever defenders, Ferdinand used the term "man of the people" to refer to himself and that irked a number of fans online.
Fellow former centre-back Carragher, who has been involved in a number back-and-forth spats on social media with Ferdinand, felt the need to reply.

The Liverpool legend responded with a slew of laughing faces coupled three money emojis to make it clear what he thinks.

Ferdinand is extremely active online but unlike in previous squabbles, has not yet replied to Carragher.
He has however been sharing his excitement for the draw, which he will conduct alongside Samantha Johnson.

"The FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw Conductor," Ferdinand wrote.
"Peckham to Washington D.C See you all Friday!!".
In a second post, accompanied by images of him with Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino, he tweeted: "5 Hours To Go @FIFAWorldCup 2026 Draw!!!
"Good to see some familiar faces last night."
