The long-standing beef between former England teammates Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand was reignited ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash between Manchester United and Liverpool.
Over the past few years, the relationship between Carragher and Ferdinand has soured, with the pair clashing on multiple occasions.
Carragher has previously accused Ferdinand of being Cristiano Ronaldo's "fan boy", while Ferdinand called his former England teammate “ignorant” over his comments about the Africa Cup of Nations.
Tensions often rise to the surface around the clash between Manchester United and Liverpool.

For example, after Liverpool smashed seven past United at Anfield in 2023, Ferdinand criticised Carragher, Graeme Souness, and the Liverpool squad for what he perceived as "small club mentality".
It came after their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth, just days after the result.
"The way Souness and Carragher were celebrating, the way they were trying to antagonise the guys [Roy Keane and Gary Neville], and then their team goes and does that at the weekend," said Ferdinand.

Jamie Carragher responds to Rio Ferdinand post on social media ahead of Man Utd vs Liverpool
Ahead of Sunday's clash at Old Trafford, Ferdinand posted a picture of himself celebrating a goal against Liverpool in September 2004, when United secured a 2-1 victory over their bitter rivals following a brace from Mikael Silvestre.
Alongside the image, he wrote: "Caption this."
Carragher has since delivered a no-nonsense response to the post, replying: “'Have some of that bruv, you Scouse xxxx” probably. Not like you to make sure you were in the picture of someone else’s goal."
He added: "You now carry on this ritual by hanging around mixed zones bothering star players & asking your lackeys to film it!"
Jamie Carragher has previously called Rio Ferdinand a "clown"
During the 2023 Champions League semi-final between Inter Milan and AC Milan, Ferdinand was called a "clown" by Carragher after the former Manchester United defender claimed that a contentious penalty call was "stonewall".
When Micah Richards asked him about the incident, Carragher said: "Rio Ferdinand. I'm happy to call him a clown."
Ferdinand soon replied: "Every time I see him it's all love man. I'm a loving guy, we hug and we shake hands and have a little laugh. I don't understand why he came in with hostility, it's a hostile energy and I don’t understand it.
"He's been on our show, we see each other and it's all cool. He used to carry my boots when we were with England, he always showed me love.
"The thing that might have been, it was [Premier League] Hall of Fame week, that's the only thing I can think of because me and him are cool. We chat, sometimes text, I just don’t get it man. I've only got good energy for him.
"He's always messaging me, that's what I'm saying, it's madness to me. He always messages me, we've been in England teams together, like i said he carries my boots. He's always shown me love.
"I don't know where that energy has come from and that's all I want him to tell me is where that energy comes from. Is it real energy or not? I need to know so when I see him I'll ask him."
