Manchester United pair Bruno Fernandes and Rasmus Hojlund “clocked” Andy Tate in the Stretford End after the club’s dismal defeat to Bournemouth.

The Old Trafford club fell to a 3-0 defeat against the Cherries to pile the pressure on Erik ten Hag’s position as manager.

Having come into the game off an encouraging 2-1 win over Chelsea on Wednesday, United were a goal behind after just five minutes as former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke fired in the opener.

Bournemouth went on to extend their lead through substitute Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi to increase the scrutiny on the United boss, whose side only registered three shots on target.

The final whistle was met with a chorus of boos from the United faithful, who were furious at their side's lacklustre display.

And as part of an impassioned rant over his side’s fortunes, prominent United fan Tate admitted that captain Fernandes and striker Hojlund clocked his presumably derogatory hand gestures at full time.

Tate explained on the Stretford Paddock: “A little message for Bruno Fernandes. You clocked me in the Stretford End in the blue jacket - you and Hojlund - and you saw my hand signals [directed] towards you.

“And I meant every last word of it. I am done with you lot. Absolutely done, and I am at that point with the manager as well now.”

He added: “This is a relationship of inconvenience and the divorce papers and the counselling has not worked. I am actually done with this team.

“And I am almost at the end. I am done with this manager. This will go viral, which I understand.

“This is it. This team has to be dismantled and only a few will survive. And I know this club will try and spin everything in the next 24, 48, 72 hours, whatever time frame they want, and try and push Jim Ratcliffe, Ineos, through as fast as they can.

“You take us for granted. You take our money.”
