Piers Morgan has slammed Mark Goldbridge on social media after he shared his thoughts on Lisandro Martinez's controversial post-match interview.
Following United's 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, defender Martinez called out the club hierarchy in a shocking post-match interview that has divided the club's fans.
Viral United fan Goldbridge is among the most vocal supporters of Martinez's comments, but it appears this has riled up Morgan who took to social media to call out some of Goldbridge's claims.
Piers Morgan slams Mark Goldbridge for Lisandro Martinez claim
Within minutes of United's loss to Atletico Madrid, Martinez was speaking to the media to call out the club's board, particularly Jason Wilcox, for a lack of ambition in the transfer market.

"Really poor. I have to control myself a lot. Sometimes it's a reflection in the mirror of our club at this moment," Martinez said.
"We had a fantastic season last season and I expect more from the top to bring more players to compete because many teams bring many players.
“I expect more from our technical director, I have to be honest and also as players we have to do more."
Many fans and pundits have criticised Martinez for his comments, claiming it was disrespectful to both the club and to his teammates, but Goldbridge believes the opposite to be true as he heaped praise on the defender on social media.
"Lisandro Martinez build him a statue. Finally a serving player calling out the board and owners. Rest of the dressing room should stand with him immediately," Goldbridge wrote on X.
Of course, Morgan, a diehard Cristiano Ronaldo fan, decided to take the chance to remind Goldbridge of the bombshell interview he did with Ronaldo back in 2022 in which the Portuguese striker said he felt "betrayed" by the club and called out then-manager Erik ten Hag.
"Hmm… actually, Cristiano did it first, in my 2022 interview with him," Morgan hit back.
"You didn’t call for him to get a statue - you called it ‘very sad’, a ‘bad bad mistake’, and ‘pretty vulgar clickbait.’"
Morgan's interview with Ronaldo back in 2022 ultimately led to his dramatical exit, with United announcing that Ronaldo was leaving by mutual agreement with immediate effect just five days after the full interview was released.
In the interview, Ronaldo claimed that people at the club clearly wanted him to leave, including Ten Hag who he said he had no respect for because the manager had shown him none.
Like Martinez, Ronaldo also took aim at the United board, criticising the Glazers and the club’s lack of progress.
Mark Goldbridge and Piers Morgan trade blows over Cristiano Ronaldo interview
Not long after Morgan's response, Goldbridge replied during a livestream on his YouTube channel, the United fan admitted that his problem with the Ronaldo interview wasn't necessarily the comments, but the way it had been done.
"Yeah that's because he sat and did it with you!" Goldbridge said to Morgan.
"If I'm about to go and make a big statement, I'd do it after a big Champions League game on Amazon Prime to a footballing audience.
"I don't go and do it with a guy who interviews Shane Richie.
"Ronaldo did it having stormed out of the club, Martinez hasn't stormed out of the club, he's a serving player who still wants to be a player and win things.
"I liked what Ronaldo, but it came across like bitter and sour grapes."
Again, Morgan hit back, writing: "Jealousy is a terrible thing, Mr Goldbridge!"
The journalist then shared clips of his interview, stating that one of the reasons he admires Ronaldo so much is that he 'always tells the truth' no matter what.
