A Manchester United player appeared to ignore captain Bruno Fernandes’ advice before Bournemouth scored in the 4-4 draw at Old Trafford.
Fernandes scored and assisted, but Ruben Amorim’s United still dropped points and missed the chance to go fifth.
In a game which featured 39 shots, United led three times before the Cherries fought back and even led 3-2 on 52 minutes thanks to Marcus Tavernier’s left-footed free-kick.
However, United equalised through Fernandes' free-kick on 77 minutes, before two minutes later, Matheus Cunha made it 4-3 to the home side.

But the away side did not give up and got their reward when Eli Kroupi Junior made it 4-4 on 84 minutes.
And as ever, when United drop points, there are plenty of talking points, including the fact Amorim finally went away from his 3-4-2-1 formation in favour of a switch to a back four.

United were positive in attack with Benjamin Sesko, Mason Mount, Cunha, Amad and Fernandes all putting in solid showings at Old Trafford, but the same can’t be said for the defence.
Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw and goalkeeper Senne Lammens had mixed evenings. The Belgian shot stopper, who arrived from Royal Antwerp in September, has kept just one clean sheet in his last ten appearances, causing concerns amongst some sections of the fanbase.
The 23-year-old should have done better for Evanlison’s goal and Tavernier’s free-kick.
A clip emerged after the game, which appeared to show Fernandes pointing to where the Englishman was going to shoot, but Lammens left a huge gap to his right-hand side and appeared to ignore his captain, which allowed the Bournemouth man to pick his spot.
Despite making two costly errors, the goalkeeper did redeem himself with two crucial stops late on to help United avoid defeat.
After the draw, Amorim was asked about his side’s performance, which he described as “good” before homing in on Lammens’ showing. The Portuguese explained how he felt his goalkeeper “did really well”.
“People, especially at Old Trafford, want to win, but they want to be inspired to see a team play good football,” Amorim said.
“We did that well in certain moments. It was a good performance, but we need to be more clinical because we created so many chances. [Senne] Lammens did really well.
“There were opportunities for both sides. We created more. We need to find ways of closing the games because this happened many times. That's part of the process. We try to do things the best we can, but in some moments it's not enough.”
United return to Premier League action away at Aston Villa on Sunday, 21 December.
