Kobbie Mainoo's brother has broken his silence after he was spotted wearing a 'Free Kobbie Mainoo' t-shirt during Manchester United's 4-4 draw against Bournemouth.
Jordan Mainoo-Hames, who was a contestant on season five of Love Island UK, was in the Old Trafford stands on Monday night as his brother made a substitute appearance against Andoni Iraola's side.
One of the big talking points ahead of kick-off was Mainoo's lack of first-team minutes under Ruben Amorim. In fact, his shortage of game time has fuelled mounting speculation over a January move.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Amorim appeared to suggest that the club are willing to let him leave on loan.

Asked if Mainoo had spoken to him regarding a temporary move, Amorim said: “If Kobbie comes to me and talks to me, I will talk to him."

He added: "I’m not going to say what I’m going to say to Kobbie but I will be really pleased if Kobbie comes to talk to me about that. I just want my players happy and I understand that every individual has their goals."
Mainoo, who has not started a game since United's Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby in August, was named on the bench against Bournemouth as Amorim stuck with the midfield pairing of Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro.
He eventually came on for goalscorer Casemiro in the 61st minute and impressed many.
But despite his best efforts, a t-shirt worn by his brother has somewhat overshadowed the performance as a clear message was sent to Ruben Amorim.
On Monday night, Jordan Mainoo-Hames was pictured wearing the 'Free Kobbie Mainoo' message by X user @AadamHaladh, who wrote: "Kobbie Mainoo’s brother Jordan at Old Trafford tonight."
The post soon went viral and, after fans voiced their thoughts on the stunt. Jordan broke his silence on the incident by posting a picture of himself wearing the t-shirt on his Instagram story.
Here's how fans on social media have reacted to the incident.
One said: "Literally yesterday Amorim said he would speak with Kobbie Mainoo if he asked to leave on loan yesterday. Today his brother does this in the front row at Old Trafford. Optically this is terrible. What's he thinking?"
A second wrote: "I’m not having this from Kobbie Mainoo’s brother. Haven’t we had enough of family members causing unnecessary drama at #MUFC? Regardless of selection, quotes, contract frustrations etc., this just doesn’t help things at all. Only makes the situation worse."
A third commented: "I’m a big supporter of Kobbie Mainoo and believe he’s been treated shabbily. But his brother did him no favours tonight wearing this."
A fourth wrote: "I’m not sure what your thoughts are on Koobie Mainoo's game time, but we can all agree that his brother's actions are not helping his cause," and a fifth added: "Mainoo’s brother really wore that shirt to the game?"

Who is Kobbie Mainoo's brother?
As mentioned above, Jordan Mainoo-Hames, 30, was a contestant on season five of Love Island UK, where he entered the Mallorca villa in week three as a so-called 'bombshell'.
He soon established a relationship with Anna Vakili in the summer of 2019 before being dumped following a public vote.
Since his departure from the popular ITV show, Mainoo-Hames has gone on to become a fashionista and runway model, walking for the likes of Vogue and Louis Vuitton, amongst other big brands.
