Man Utd Fans Fume After Spotting Who 'Liked' Kobbie Mainoo T-Shirt Post

Mainoo's brother, Jordan, wore a 'free Kobbie Mainoo' t-shirt during Monday's game.

Kobbie Mainoo's brother wasn't the only person to take aim at Ruben Amorim as a former Manchester United player appeared to endorse the message with his social media activity.

One of the big talking points from Monday's game between Manchester United and Bournemouth was Mainoo's older brother Jordan, who was pictured at Old Trafford wearing a black t-shirt featuring the words “Free Kobbie Mainoo”.

Jordan, a former contestant on the reality show Love Island UK, proceeded to post a picture of himself wearing the provocative t-shirt on his Instagram story.

Mainoo has been strongly linked with a January move to Serie A side Napoli. In fact, Amorim admitted he would be "really pleased" if the out-of-favour midfielder decided to ask him about a loan.

"I’m not going to say what I’m going to say to Kobbie but I will be really pleased if Kobbie comes to talk to me about that," he said ahead of Monday's game against Bournemouth.

"I just want my players happy and I understand that every individual has their goals."

With Mainoo's future up in the air following a lack of first-team minutes, his brother has arguably made the situation worse after taking aim at Amorim in such a public setting.

The reaction has been huge, with Fabrizio Romano's post about the t-shirt picking up over one million likes in the space of 11 hours.

He wrote on Instagram: "Kobbie Mainoo brother was at Old Trafford tonight wearing "Free Kobbie Mainoo" shirt. Manchester United midfielder has started 0 Premier League games this season, playing 225 minutes."

Among those to have 'liked' the post is former Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, who left Old Trafford for Chelsea in the summer after falling out with Amorim.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to Garnacho's recent social media activity.

One said: "This is the result of a decade of sacking managers, hyping players, losing standards and lacking discipline," while another commented: "We don't need this drama right now."

A third added: "Forget Garnacho liking, this nonsense needs to be dealt with. I am in utter disbelief."

Ruben Amorim made brutal comment to Garnacho in front of his Man Utd teammates

Garnacho was left out of the matchday squad for United's final game of the 2024-25 season against Aston Villa.

Ahead of kick-off, it emerged that Amorim had told Garnacho to find a new club. In fact, in a meeting with the rest of the squad at Carrington, he told the Argentine: "You better pray that you can find a club to sign you".

Garnacho joined Chelsea in August for a reported £40 million. He has scored two goals in 16 appearances for Enzo Maresca's side this season.
