Manchester United fans took to social media to address a growing issue with one Red Devils star following the side’s 4-4 draw against Bournemouth.
Ruben Amorim’s Man United and Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth were involved in a thoroughly entertaining eight-goal affair at Old Trafford on Monday evening (December 15), with the result leaving the Red Devils sixth in the Premier League.
Amad opened the scoring on 13 minutes before Antoine Semenyo drew the south coast side level five minutes before the break.
But in first-half stoppage time, Casemiro’s header caught Đorđe Petrović off guard to hand the home side the advantage.

And much like the first 45 minutes, the second was thoroughly entertaining with Cherries forward Evanilson making it 2-2 on 46 minutes.

Things went from bad to worse for Amorim when he watched Marcus Tavernier’s left-footed free-kick beat United goalkeeper Senne Lammens to make it 3-2 to Bournemouth seven minutes into the second half.
However, United fought back with captain Bruno Fernandes scoring a free-kick of his own to level things once more with 13 minutes left to play before the Red Devils thought they had won it through Matheus Cunha on 79 minutes.
But in theme with the game, there was one final twist as Bournemouth equalised through 19-year-old Eli Junior Kroupi.
So, after all that, there were several key points for supporters and Amorim to consider.
The Portuguese even abandoned his favoured 3-4-2-1 at one point, switching to a four-man defence.
In all, there were plenty of positives to take from the performance, although question marks remain about the defence, with some fans suggesting that goalkeeper Lammens, who arrived from Belgian side Royal Antwerp in the summer, has underperformed in the last ten games as he’s kept just one clean sheet during this period.

One fan said: “I could maybe blame him for 2 goals max, but also he’s made countless saves keeping us in games.”
Another added: “A goalkeeper is only as good as the defence in front of him. We continue to concede a high number of shots per game. Any goalkeeper will concede goals if we continue like this.”
A third commented: “Shame on those turning on Lammens. Yes, he should’ve probably saved the free kick, but he made some HUGE saves that ultimately helped us avoid a loss. He’s a young goalkeeper, and he’s obviously gonna make mistakes."
While a fourth claimed: “1 cleansheet in 10 games, maybe it’s time to start criticising Lammens…”
United return to action on Sunday, December 21, when they face Aston Villa at Villa Park.
