John Fury has 'confirmed' that he will fight Carl Froch as part of the undercard for Tyson Fury's comeback fight in April.

On Monday afternoon, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury officially returned to boxing as he held his first press conference ahead of his returns to the ring at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

Both Fury and Makhmudov remained respectful throughout the press conference, with the Englishman admitting that the death of Anthony Joshua's friends in a fatal car crash is what prompted his return to the ring.

'The Gypsy King' was accompanied by his dad John who, as always, didn't take long to find himself in a heated altercation with several people attending the press conference including four-time super-middleweight world champion Froch.

Now, days after his outburst, John has taken to social media to confirm that he is ready to fight Froch on the undercard of his son's comeback fight.

Shortly after arriving for the press conference, Fury spotted Froch and began lashing out, calling the former British boxer a 'b****.'

Froch, who has been critical of John Fury's involvement in his son's career, addressed the outburst on his YouTube channel, saying: "I'm stood there about to go live on air and I'm thinking, ‘Oh please go away, pipe down and leave us alone because you're not going to do anything.

“He's got no intentions of having a fight. If he wants to have a fight, let's put it like that here now.

“Grow a set of knackers. You said you're afraid of no man but God. Me and you can do it. We can do it."

Just days later, Fury has responded to the callout, and it's clear that he's not happy with Froch slamming his name as he's accepted the offer and called for the fight to take place on Tyson Fury's comeback card in April.

“This is the message you’ve all been waiting for. Carl ‘The Worm’ Froch, you’ve got yourself a fight," Fury said in a video posted to social media.

"Where do you want to fight at, mate? We’ll do it in the ring, under the lights. I’ll fight you at Tottenham in eight weeks' time. Me and you, Tottenham, undercard, eight weeks’ time.

"You’ll get that, because I know you’re a s***. I know you’re not a man. A three-time Hall-of-Famer, you might be all right at 12 stone, but you’re nothing at heavyweight, my pal. I’d laugh at you when you hit me.

"But listen, we’ve talked too much. I’m not gonna make a long video. Get Netflix to contact me. Let’s talk about this, because it’s about this, you know that, and I know that. And you’ve got yourself a fight, mate.

"You can fight the father of the best heavyweight in the world, the Gypsy King’s father.

"And I’ll tell you now, I will not disgrace my son by letting a f****** bum like you even come close to beating me. You’ve got yourself a fight, Mr. Froch. Eight weeks, Tottenham. I don’t need six months' training. I’m ready to go now, my pal."

Froch has previously called for John Fury to fight him on a Misfits boxing card, suggesting that he would be up for meeting Fury in the ring should a formal deal be offered.

It comes just minutes after Fury apologised to boxing pundit Steve Bruce for lashing out at him during the press conference, admitting that Froch had wound him up and caused him to rage.

In a video released on Thursday morning, Fury said: "I just want to sincerely apologise to Steve Bunce.

"I’m sorry, Steve. I was bang out of order, I got carried away with emotion, there were people winding me up, these internet trolls and all this kind of thing.

"Sometimes we’re all human, we’ve got feelings, and it can get to you, especially with a man like me."

"I think Netflix is out of order even employing Carl Froch and bringing him there, knowing the friction he’s been causing. And he’s a Fury hater, he hates Tyson, he hates the Fury family, why he was there I don’t know, that’s Netflix’s choice, not mine."
