56 Year Old Mike Tyson Lands Huge Shots As Boxing Great Spars With Trainer

The boxing legend has still got it.

A video has emerged showing Mike Tyson landing huge shots whilst sparring with his trainer Rafael Cordeiro

Tyson is a true great of the sport, he became the undisputed champion during his stellar career. He retired in 2005 but made a comeback for an exhibition fight against Roy Jones Jr back in 2020.

Now aged 56, it seems Tyson is still as powerful as he was during his career.

The boxing legend has been training in California with trainer Cordeiro at the MMA Gym, Kings MMA. Cordeiro uploaded a video of the sparring session on Instagram with a caption that read: “Light sparring with the tiger.”

Cordeiro was suited with a big body pad as Tyson threw strong left hooks into his torso before following up with a huge right hand punch.

Cordeiro then landed a few punches, Tyson ducked and weaved away from them before the duo separated and began dancing light on their feet.

A smile appeared on the face of Cordeiro as he clearly felt the power that Tyson still possesses.

Tyson was famed for his trademark aggression and power through out his long career which saw him conquer the heavyweight division.

During his professional career, he managed to record massive knock out victories over the likes of Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes.

Despite retiring 17 years ago, Tyson remains active in order to keep himself in tip top shape. Recently, it was reported that the retired boxer has been taking supplements to maintain his fitness in preparation for a stunning return to the ring.

Back in November 2021, Tyson announced his plans to fight in February 2022, but the fight never materialised. If a fight is to go ahead in the future, the most likely opponent for Tyson will be American YouTube sensation Logan Paul, who has launched his own professional career in boxing. Paul has previously declared his intentions to fight Tyson, and the fight could see the pair generate an eye watering revenue of $300 million.

During a recent appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Tyson was asked about the potential meeting with Paul.

He replied: “Anything is possible but it has got to happen this year, that could be very interesting. He is skilled enough and I will give it to him because he is winning.”

“Even if he is fighting fighters that aren't meant to be good enough, they should still be beating him but they can't. He is beating people that he shouldn't really be beating so you have to give him credit.”

Tyson added: “He is doing good and he is doing things that are great for boxing. This guy has 7 million people following him every time he fights.”

Will Tyson make a return to the ring this year? Only time will tell.
