Floyd Mayweather set for sensational boxing return on Netflix with lucrative two-fight deal on table

Floyd Mayweather could be set for a sensational return to professional boxing after being reportedly offered a deal by Netflix to fight Ryan Garcia and Manny Pacquiao in 2027.

Mayweather last fought professionally against UFC superstar Conor McGregor in August 2017, defeating the Irishman by 10th-round TKO at T-Mobile Arena in Nevada.

More recently, the former five-division champion has competed regularly on the exhibition circuit, and his last fight was a rematch with John Gotti III in August 2024.

Floyd Mayweather offered lucrative Netflix deal to fight Ryan Garcia and Manny Pacquiao

Mayweather has already confirmed his desire to return to professional boxing and, after already establishing himself as one of the greatest of all time with a 50-0 record, he is willing to put his unbeaten record on the line with a title fight.

The 49-year-old wants a dust-up with reigning welterweight champion Ryan Garcia as he aims to become the oldest world champion. Bernard Hopkins currently holds the record after becoming a unified light-heavyweight champion aged 49 in April 2014.

Garcia, who defended his belt with a victory inside two rounds against Conor Benn in September, confirmed on social media that he's agreed to fight the legendary boxer, and Netflix could broadcast the potential record-breaking showdown.

According to World Boxing News, Netflix are interested in securing a deal for Mayweather to fight not just Garcia, but also Manny Pacquiao, the man he defeated via unanimous decision at the MGM in May 2015.

He was scheduled for a rematch with the Filipino in September, though it was postponed indefinitely after Pacquiao's camp released a statement declaring that a "a volatile mix of federal lawsuits, scheduling overbooks, and financial gridlock completely surrounding the Mayweather camp" left them no choice.

The above report claims that Mayweather could fight Pacquiao in May 2027, or slightly later, with Garcia potentially following in September 2027 or early 2028.

But while the 'Pretty Boy' considers another potentially lucrative return, his existing financial disputes continue to attract attention.

Floyd Mayweather opens up about his financial problems

Speaking on the PBD Podcast with host Patrick Bet-David, Mayweather has opened up about alleged financial betrayals involving people he once trusted, claiming that two separate cases cost him hundreds of millions of dollars.

He described one case involving a close associate who helped manage his business affairs and another involving payments linked to his deal with Showtime. He said money intended for him and Mayweather Promotions went into another person's account.

"It's a guy who was sitting next to me acting like he was a friend, helping me clean up business, and he stole $200 million," Mayweather revealed before stressing that the person involved in this case was different from the individual connected to his other financial allegations.

"Yeah, this is a completely different guy," he continued.

In a separate dispute with Showtime, payments intended for him and Mayweather Promotions went into someone else's account.

"With the $350 million, it's not like no one went to me and took $350 million," the legendary fighter said. "What happened was Showtime. I done a deal with Showtime. Money on the back end was supposed to come to Mayweather Promotions, supposed to come exactly to Floyd Mayweather, and they sent it to someone else's account."
