A boxer once tipped to become the next Floyd Mayweather has made the headlines again for flexing his wealth on a livestream.
Mayweather is universally regarded as one of the best boxers of all-time, finishing his exceptional career with 15 major world championships across five weight classes and 50 wins from 50 fights.
But since his first retirement in August 2017 when he achieved a knockout win over MMA star Conor McGregor, many American boxers have been likened to the 49-year-old, including Devin Haney and Shekur Stephenson.
Arguably the most striking comparison to the former world champion, though, is Adrien Broner, who rose to prominence as a professional fighter in 2008 after holding an amateur record that even Mayweather would have been proud of.

The Cincinnati fighter graduated from the amateur ranks with 300 wins and just 19 losses from 319 bouts, and then quickly built his professional record to 23-0, including a third-round knockout victory over Vicente Martin Rodriguez to win the WBO super-featherweight title.
Broner was well on his way to following in Mayweather's footsteps, and even defended his title against Vicente Escobedo in 2012, despite fears the fight would be called off after missing weight by 3.5lb.
Sadly, even though he would go on to become a world champion in four different boxing weight classes, 'The Problem' squandered what promised to be a legendary career through excessive partying and failing to stay in peak physical condition.
The 36-year-old has since been the architect of his own downfall outside of the ring, and even filed for bankruptcy in 2021 after failing to pay a large settlement from an assault lawsuit.
However, it appears Broner has put his chequered past behind him - at least for now - as his infectious personality has seen him team up with Deen The Great and become a massive streamer.
What Adrien Broner said on his livestream
During his latest Kick stream, Broner appeared to receive a payment that drew raw emotion from the former fighter and was declared a millionaire by fans after he seemed to have been paid a large sum.
“Everything is going to be alright,” Broner boasted while showing off his bank balance before leaping into the pool. “B—- I’ll cry right now, they thought I was dead, they thought I was dead bruh.”
“I ain’t seen a number like that in years, it’s something I could only dream about. Without y’all I couldn’t take care of my kids, I’ve got 11 kids… The court is back in my hands n—–, s— really brought tears to my eye.”
He continued to boast in the video, claiming that he was now living ‘back like I was world champion again’, with his first Kick payout believed to be in the region of $150,000.
Broner's last fight was just over two years ago in June 2024 when he lost by unanimous decision to Blair Cobbs.
