And his arch nemesis Adesanya wasted no time in responding to the UFC star's latest episode with the law as he pulled no punches during a social media rant.

The UFC middleweight king posted not one but FIVE tweets in regards to Jones' arrest on Twitter.

The first post was a GIF from Kenan & Kel with the caption: "Good morning..." accompanied with a popcorn emoji.

He uploaded another GIF with the words: "Woke up like..."

He then shared a short clip of him slamming Jones.

Adesanya then wrote: "Testify!! *catches holy ghost*" as he tweeted Jones' post from last week.

Finally, 'The Last Stylebender' uploaded a meme.

Adesanya last fought at UFC 248 earlier this month and his victory over Yoel Romero moved him to 19-0 (8-0 in the UFC) and the 30-year-old took a swipe at Jones while calling for a showdown at middleweight.

"Who gives a f**k about weight? I've never given a f**k about weight. It's never ever been an issue for me," he said.

"I've been a heavyweight in boxing, in kickboxing and I'll do it again in MMA, so it's never been an issue about weight.

"He can try to run to heavyweight, but I'll chase him down, I'll hunt him down if I have to.

"Let him go to heavyweight. Right now, I'm working at middleweight. Let him come, he can step the line if he comes to middleweight, but I'm sure he can't do that because his frame won't let him.

"So, let me do my work, shut the f**k up and I'll come see you when it's time."
