Referee Felix Brych caused shock on social media when he was spotted sharing a water bottle with Ukraine forward Roman Yaremchuk on Saturday night.
England and Ukraine faced each other in the last quarter final of Euro 2020, with Gareth Southgate's team playing away from Wembley for the first time in the tournament.

Whilst it wasn't a surprise to see the Three Lions take the lead after three minutes, with Harry Kane showing his form has now returned after scoring against Germany, there were more shocking scenes later in the first half.
German referee Brych called for a water break half way through the opening 45 minutes, due to the temperature in Rome, and he was then seen sharing a bottle with Yaremchuk, just wiping it down with his hand.
Certainly most fans were confused how something like that could happen in a world where Covid restrictions are so tight, especially with the players.

Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount both had to isolate for a week after they had a conversation with Billy Gilmour following the group game between England and Scotland, when the Scottish midfielder has a positive Covid test after the game.
Players and officials are tested on a regular basis inside the tournament bubble so there is little risk to either Brych or Yaremchuk but it's still not a good look.
