FPL players who own Antoine Semenyo may be forced to "reassess their strategy" following his transfer to Manchester City, although it could also give users a potential advantage in the coming weeks.
Earlier this month, Semenyo joined Manchester City from Bournemouth in a deal worth around £65 million.
The 26-year-old forward, who will wear the number 42 shirt previously worn by Yaya Toure, has been one of the Premier League's standout performers this season, notching 10 goals and three assists in 20 starts.
To put his recent form into perspective, only Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Bryan Mbeumo had more goal involvements in the league than Semenyo in 2025.

Unsurprisingly, the Ghana international is one of the most popular picks in FPL. At the time of writing, he is owned by just under 44 per cent of managers, which is the second most-selected player.

That being said, some users may need to make some difficult decisions in the coming weeks as they will have four players from Manchester City in their FPL squad.
If you happen to be one of those people following Semenyo's big-money move, then your next transfer out has to be a City player because you can't own four players from the same team.

However, you do have the option to keep your four Manchester City players for the rest of the 2025-26 campaign - but you would not be able to make another transfer.
Erling Haaland (£15.1m), Phil Foden (£8.7m) and Nico O'Reilly (£5.3m) are also some of the most owned players in FPL, while Rayan Cherki (£6.8m) is likely to become a fan favourite amid his upturn in form.
"Semenyo's FPL owners will now be forced to reassess their strategy," the FPL scout says on the Premier League's official website.
"With Haaland, Foden and O'Reilly in form, alongside Rayan Cherki (£6.8m), who appears to be finding his feet on the right wing - Semenyo may be forced to be patient."
