Fans are raging after the Premier League announced the Christmas and New Year fixtures following the 2022 World Cup.

They explained that 'special arrangements' have been made in order to allow more time between games.

As a result, three Boxing Day clashes between Chelsea vs. Bournemouth, Leeds United vs. Manchester City and Manchester United vs. Nottingham Forest have all been moved to later dates.

The Premier League claims the changes 'will allow greater time for players to recover' by increasing the rest period between matchday 18-19 so that clubs will not play within 48 hours of their other fixtures.
