Man United and Arsenal fans furious after Premier League unveil Christmas and New Year fixtures

The Premier League have revealed the Christmas and New Year schedule.

Fans are raging after the Premier League announced the Christmas and New Year fixtures following the 2022 World Cup.

England's top flight revealed its festive schedule and which broadcaster will air the game.

They explained that 'special arrangements' have been made in order to allow more time between games.

As a result, three Boxing Day clashes between Chelsea vs. Bournemouth, Leeds United vs. Manchester City and Manchester United vs. Nottingham Forest have all been moved to later dates.

The Premier League claims the changes 'will allow greater time for players to recover' by increasing the rest period between matchday 18-19 so that clubs will not play within 48 hours of their other fixtures.

One Man United fan wrote: "Unbelievable the rescheduling of our fixtures this season, our Boxing Day fixture now changed to 27th at 8pm f**kin' joke."

A second tweeted: "2 8pm KO’s, 1 not on a bank holiday when the fixtures are supposed to be over the festive season is an absolute disgrace."

Another commented: "These dates and kick off times are just getting ridiculous."

An Arsenal supporter said: "Absolute disgrace. All 3 of them.

Another Arsenal fan tweeted: "8pm on Boxing Day and 5.30 on NYE pathetic from the @premierleague and the TV companies."
