Wayne Rooney has warned Arsenal about overcelebrating after they reached the Champions League final on Tuesday night.
The Gunners booked their place in the showpiece final thanks to a late first-half goal from Bukayo Saka against Atletico Madrid. His strike was enough for a 1-0 win in the second leg and a 2-1 victory on aggregate across both matches.
Arsenal's win will see them play in the Champions League final for only the second time in the club's history, and the first time since they lost to Barcelona back in 2006. Mikel Arteta's side will face either holders Paris Saint-Germain or old foes Bayern Munich in the showpiece final at the end of the month.
There was a huge outpouring of emotion after the victory, with fireworks let off at the Emirates Stadium, while players and staff celebrated wildly on the pitch.

Arsenal reached the Champions League quarter-finals under Arteta two years ago and were beaten in the semi-finals by PSG last season. Their progression to the final was a huge hurdle overcome and gave them plenty of reason to celebrate, though it will count for little if they don't manage to win the trophy in Budapest.
Wayne Rooney warns Arsenal about Champions League celebrations
Wayne Rooney knows what it takes to win the Champions League and also knows all about the agony of losing in a showpiece final as well. The Manchester United legend was part of the United side that won the trophy in 2008, but also tasted final defeat to Barcelona in both 2009 and 2011.
While he acknowledged that Arsenal had every right to bask in the glory of their latest triumph, he also warned Arteta's side that there was a lot of work to be done before they could celebrate for real.
"The celebrations are a bit too much," Rooney said during his punditry role on Amazon Prime. "They've not won it yet."
Theo Walcott was a lot more understanding and was obviously delighted to see his former side reach their first Champions League final in two decades. He also pointed out that for a generation of supporters and players, this would be the first such final of their lifetimes.
"Incredible scenes here. I've never seen the Emirates quite like it - that connection with the fans we talk about...
"Some people here weren't even born when they last got to the final, and it's one of those now 'can they go that one step further?' Maybe they are the team that can do it this year.
It is only a year since Arsenal were beaten by eventual winners PSG in the Champions League semi-finals, and they could get the ultimate shot at redemption in Budapest later this month. The holders lead Bayern 5-4 on aggregate after an incredible first leg last week, with the decider set to be played in Munich on Wednesday night.
