Thierry Henry took over Bukayo Saka's interview with CBS Sports after Arsenal reached the Champions League final to issue an emotional plea to the Gunners star.

Saka scored the only goal of the game on 44 minutes as Arsenal beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 to secure a 2-1 victory on aggregate.

The Emirates Stadium was a scene of celebration post-match after the Gunners secured their passage to their first Champions League final since 2006.

Arsenal have never won the European Cup, with 2006 the only time they have ever reached as far the final.

Henry was a part of the Gunners side that lost 2-1 to Barcelona in Saint-Denis, and he would ultimately move to Barca a year later - where he did go on to lift the biggest European title in 2009.

During Saka's interview with CBS Sports, he reminded the Arsenal star of what he and his team-mates narrowly missed out on 20 years ago, and urged the current squad to go and achieve one better.

"I just want to say something, please," Henry said. "I wish you all the best, because we couldn't do it [win the Champions League], and I hope that you are going to be able to do it.

"And I know, I will repeat it myself, I want that name to stay. If you guys do it, if you manage to do it and you go on to win the [Premier League] title also - I don't want to jinx anything, we're still not there, I will stay in my lane - you guys will be known as the Unforgettables.

"We were the Invincibles. You go and get it."

"Thank you, man," a clearly touched Saka replied. "Thank you."

Earlier in the interview, Saka was asked who he and his Arsenal team-mates would prefer to face in the final out of PSG and Bayern Munich.

"Come on, man... you can't ask me that," he said. "I'd have to give a media-trained answer!

"You know deep down who we'd want to face in the final."
