Michael Carrick has delivered Champions League football to Old Trafford for next season, as he has likely guided Manchester United to a third-place finish in the Premier League this campaign.
Fans of the club will be excited to see their club back in the elite European competition once again after their two-season absence.
Carrick is looking likely to be the next permanent manager of United following this impressive interim spell after he took over from Ruben Amorim in January, with the former England international winning 10 of his 14 matches in charge.
While this may be his reward for guiding the three-time Champions League winners back to the European elite, his squad are set to receive theirs, as the majority of the team are set to get a 25% wage increase for this achievement.

Captain Bruno Fernandes, the club’s highest-paid player, will earn around £250,000 a week with the increase.

Both Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo signed new deals with the club, as the former Leicester City star got a year extension while the United graduate got a five-year deal, and it is believed the pair are incentivised in regard to their involvement in next season’s Champions League.
Despite not being involved in the campaign to earn Champions League football for next season, it is believed, according to talkSPORT, that loanees Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana, who are at Barcelona and Trabzonspor respectively, are also set to receive this pay increase.
It is thought that the Red Devils will be aiming to sell Rashford and Onana in the summer; however, this could be more difficult if this report is accurate, as they could cost an interested club more in terms of wages now.
There is no confirmation about which players will not receive this pay increase following their successful campaign.
According to Capology, this 25% increase to players' wages could see five players make over £200,000 a week for the club next season.
The players included would be Fernandes, Maguire, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Matthijis de Ligt, if these figures are accurate and if they are entitled to this pay increase.
