Fans have accused Real Madrid of trolling Paris Saint-Germain in their social media post immediately after the Club World Cup final.
A shock result on Sunday night saw Chelsea produce a stunning 3-0 win over Champions League winners PSG in the final of the newly revamped Club World Cup competition in the USA.
An impressive performance from England international Cole Palmer, who scored two goals and assisted the third, inspired his side to the commanding victory over the French champions in New Jersey's MetLife Stadium.
Immediately after the match, several clubs that had also participated in the competition took to social media to congratulate Chelsea on their win, including semi-finalists Real Madrid.

However, after seeing what the Spanish giants posted about the match, some fans are convinced that they were 'trolling' former foes Paris Saint-Germain.

After a somewhat rocky road to the penultimate round, Real Madrid faced PSG in a Club World Cup semi-final, only to be embarrassed by a 4-0 from Luis Enrique's side.
The result served as somewhat of a brutal reminder that new manager Xabi Alonso may yet need some time to settle in with his Real Madrid squad, and fans are convinced that the social media team are still bitter about the loss after reading their post after the final.

Reacting to Chelsea's win on X, Real Madrid wrote: "Congratulations to Chelsea FC and all their fans for a well-deserved FIFA CWC title. And our congratulations to FIFA and its president Gianni Infantino for the brilliant organisation of the 2025 Club World Cup."
Although initially the post may appear to be well-meaning and fairly innocent, some fans think that the Spanish side deliberately didn't mention PSG, with some suggesting they would not have congratulated the French side had they won the final.
Replying to the post, one fan asked: "Why does this look like trolling?"
While another asked: "Would you have congratulated PSG if they had won?"

And a Chelsea fan wrote: "Madrid is lowkey thanking Chelsea for beating that team that embarrassed them. You're all welcome."
With another adding: "CORRECTION - Congratulations to ChelseaFC and THANK YOU FOR SAVING US FROM THE PARISIAN NOISE."
Chelsea's victory in the final secured them a stunning $125 million in prize money, and yet strangely their place in the next Club World Cup is not confirmed.
