Thibaut Courtois delivered a ruthless assessment of Real Madrid's crushing defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at the Club World Cup.
Real succumbed to PSG, who ran out 4-0 winners at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Wednesday.

Real's defeat to PSG spells the end of their Club World Cup campaign as they won't be involved in a third-place play-off match.
Xabi Alonso's team will now return to Spain ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, where they host Osasuna in their opening La Liga fixture.
They will have time to adjust to Alonso's tactics following his summer appointment.

Speaking after his side's heavy defeat to PSG, Courtois said they didn't follow Alonso's 'plan' and bemoaned the first-half mistakes.
"We want to apologise to the fans," he told DAZN.
Courtois added: "The problem? We didn’t press as a team. Two big mistakes at the start of the game affected us.
"We failed to follow Xabi's plan. We need to analyze it, but from what I saw, we were always arriving late."

Despite suffering a 4-0 defeat to PSG, Alonso believes Real are 'on the right track'.
"It’s a tough defeat, but it’s a defeat to learn from, we are on the right track," he explained.
"Sometimes a loss like this is good for you to know that there is a lot of work ahead.

"There’s a lot to analyse and learn. We now know where we are, and where to look, and where we want to be and prepare for it."
Alonso continued: "PSG are a team. We have just begun. We suffered; it was difficult. There are many things we want to do better. It hurts today.
"We can improve. There's a lot of margin. We've found some positives; we leave as a better team."
Real won four of their six matches a the Club World Cup. They beat Pachuca, Red Bull Salzburg, Juventus and Borussia Dortmund and drew with Al Hilal. And, of course, lost to PSG.
