Trent Alexander-Arnold could be set to receive a huge bonus if Real Madrid achieve a certain thing at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, made his Real Madrid debut during their 1-1 draw against Al Hilal at the Club World Cup on Wednesday.
The right-back was a second-half substitute during the fixture, so did not have a huge amount to do, although as always, the Spanish press made their feelings clear on the Liverpudlian's debut showing.

After the match, the England international explained how, although he’d achieved something "every player dreams of”, he was still “disappointed” not to win the game.
"Incredible day to have made my debut for Real Madrid,” Trent said. “It’s something almost every player dreams of so to be able to achieve it is huge for me.
“There’s some disappointment not to have won the game, but it’s the mentality you need to have as a Real player is to want and expect to win every game you’ve played in.

"I’ve felt the support from the moment I signed the club. Absolutely sensational. The fan base is truly global all around the world, and you feel it every day.
"I’ve been learning Spanish a couple of months. I want to adapt and give myself the best start possible. It’s important to show the intent that I want to embrace the culture and adapt as best as possible. That was important for me to do so."
Real return to action against Pachuca on Sunday before they face RB Salzburg the following Friday.
And the players will be hoping to see an upturn in their performances, given the fact that a huge bonus is on the line.

As reported by Spanish outlet MARCA, if Los Blancos win the Club World Cup, each player will receive a €1m (£854,150) bonus.
The publication reports that the squad has already received €500k in rewards this season due to their second-place La Liga finish, reaching the Copa del Rey final and Champions League quarter-finals.
So, how much could Trent earn in his first month or so at the club?
According to Sports Illustrated, the 26-year-old’s salary is around $200,530 (£149,182) per week, after tax.

Trent became a Madrid player on June 1, and the final of the Club World Cup is on July 13, a period of 42 days or six weeks.
So, combining six weeks’ salary and the potential bonus, Trent may pocket up to £1,749,242 for just six weeks of service.
