Gary Neville shut down Monday Night Football host David Jones when asked a question about Marcus Rashford's recent comments on Manchester United.
On Monday night, Leeds United marked their Premier League return with a 1-0 win over Everton at Elland Road, with a controversial penalty scored by new signing Lukas Nmecha sealing the three points.
As it was the first Monday Night Football fixture of the 2025/26 season, pundits Neville and Jamie Carragher gave their predictions for the season while reflecting on the first round of fixtures.
Of course, the pair also discussed Manchester United following their hard-fought 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, giving their opinions on what to expect from Amorim's side this season.

But it wasn't just Amorim that they were asked about when it came to United, as Neville also quickly shut down questions about star player Rashford after he made some controversial comments about the club while on loan at Barcelona.

Following his public fallout with Amorim shortly after the manager's arrival at United back in November, Rashford secured his dream move to Barcelona this summer, joining on a season-long loan.
Ahead of his La Liga debut, the winger sport with Gary Lineker, the last English player to represent Barcelona, and Micah Richards on an episode of The Rest is Football podcast.

However, it wasn't just Barcelona that Rashford spoke about in the interview, as he also criticised United for their lack of direction, claiming that the principles put in place by legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson have been abandoned - leaving the club in "no man's land", And when asked by Monday Night Football host Jones for his thoughts on these comments, Neville made it very clear that he wasn't prepared to discuss Rashford any more.
He said: "Let's ignore that because I don't want to go into Marcus Rashford's comments tonight.
"He was there at the club for 10 years and had his opportunity to have his impact at the club, Ruben Amorim this year will do a good job. I think Marcus should focus on Barcelona."

As part of the deal that saw him join Barcelona, the Spanish side have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the 2025/26 season for a reported fee of £30.3million.
With the season only just getting underway, it is of course unclear if Barcelona plan to trigger this option to buy, but it is becoming increasingly clear that Rashford's time at United may now be over regardless.
